Albert C. Jones, CLU, ARM
Trust Administrator
Al is president of Albert C. Jones Employee Benefits, Inc., in Concord, NH, which specializes in the establishment and administration of insured and self-funded pools for public sector associations. For over three decades he has advised associations, insurance companies, HMOs and public entities. Al has worked with public and private sector associations across the country developing health, workers’ compensation and property and liability pools. Active in the employee benefit industry for over 42 years, he has owned several independent insurance agencies, a third party claims administrator and consulting and brokerage firms. He was a Senior Vice President of Sedgwick Noble Lowndes, an international benefits consulting organization. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he has a Masters of Financial Services from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
Rick Jones
Deputy Administrator
Rick specializes in the establishment of captive insurance companies and pools for public sector associations. He advises associations, insurance companies, HMOs and public sector clients in the design, implementation and administration of health care programs. Rick received his Bachelor’s Degree in philosophy from Colby College and also earned designations as a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and as an Associate in Reinsurance (ARe). He is an active member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists.
Kirstin Barber, GBA
Director of Member Programs
Kirstin is responsible for many aspects of the NHIT Health Program. She works with member groups and the NHIT team to create innovative plan design options, wellness initiatives and overall administrative systems and processes that assist the NHIT members. She works to ensure that all members and employees are satisfied with the level of service they receive from both the Trust and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Prior to joining NHIT, Kirstin worked with New Hampshire local governments as the Assistant Manager of Benefit Programs at Primex3. Kirstin holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics and a Master’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University. She also holds a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management and a New Hampshire State Producers License for Life, Accident and Health Insurance.
McKenzie MacDougall
Senior Member Services Representative
McKenzie works directly with the NHIT membership and assists with many functions of the program including but not limited to; benefits and coverage questions, administrative processes, open enrollment and material inventory. She works to ensure that all NHIT members are satisfied with the level of service they receive from both the Trust and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Plymouth State University.
Meredith McGilvray, MEd, LMT, CPT
Wellness Program Manager
Meredith leads the wellness program development and works directly with members to design custom-made work-site wellness programs for employees and their families. She completed her Masters of Education in Health Education and Health Promotion from Plymouth State University and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Exercise Science from the University of New England. Meredith specializes in fitness and weight management, basic and sport nutrition, stress management and wellness program design. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Smoking Cessation Facilitator.
Amy Laurendeau
Enrollment & Billing Coordinator
Amy supports the NHIT and its members by assisting with all enrollment and billing transactions, helping groups with enrollment related questions and as a liaison between each member and Harvard Pilgrim. Amy has more than 16 years of experience in enrollment and billing, project management, customer service, quality assurance and business analysis.
Michelle Evans
Enrollment & Billing Representative
Michelle brings to NHIT over seven years of experience in benefits administration. Her in depth level of knowledge with HRA, FSA, HSA, and COBRA administration adds great value to both the NHIT and its membership. She holds a business degree from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. Michelle's problem solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to cultivate lasting member relationships will nicely compliment the Billing and Enrollment department at NHIT
Brittany Edgerly
Senior Wellness Consultant
Brittany is a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant who works directly with the Wellness Program Manager. She assists with wellness projects, presentations, wellness challenges, newsletters and meets with members who have an interest in initiating a wellness program. Brittany attended Plymouth State University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education with a Health Promotion Option and a Minor in Professional Communications.
